The theme for fifth Gala rounds of Indian Idol 3, telecast on SET Asia was Love. The contestants of Indian Idol 3 performed on both slow and fast Romantic, love numbers. The show started with an opening number “Signal, Pyar Ka Signal”, all the contestants danced to this fast number. The tone of a romantic night was set with heart shaped balloons, misty smoke and bike rides on the stage. All the judges sang a line from their favourite song.

Emon sang “is pyar ko main kya naam doon..”, Amit performed on “pehla Nasha”, Parleen gave an outstanding performance with “Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika” and Abhishek was simply outstanding with his performance on “Roop Tera Mastana”. Indian Idol 3, the hugely popular musical competition telecast on SET Asia will have Actor Ritesh Deshmukh as its star guest on July 26, 2007. The fourth Gala Result episode of Indian Idol 3 started off with mini saying that ‘one of the top 10 contestants have a bad news’, after that she said that Puja’s grandmother was ill still she performed on the show. On the Indian Idol 3 episode telecast on July 19, the third roobaroo the contestants were shown complaining that they were always singing and don’t get to play games for that Mini tells them the format of a game. SET Asia’s Indian Idol will feature Govinda on the fourth Gala round which will be telecast on July 20th. Govinda will be shown offering his advice to the top ten contestants of the show Indian Idol 3 and he would encourage them in chasing their dream of becoming the next Indian Idol. The Star guest of Indian Idol 3, Govinda danced on Ankita’s song one song being “Babuji Zara Dheere Chalo Bijali Khadi Yahan Bijali Khadi”.

Last Saturday at first the recap of the previous episode was shown. Indian Idol 3: A made-for–television–phenomenon presented to the world by SET Asia

SET Asia’s Indian Idol gala rounds takes the viewer’s on an emotional journey of young aspirants waiting to realize their dreams. The third season of Indian Idol promises to be nail biting right to the final. SET Asia has given audiences the honour of selecting that “one voice” who will become the pride of the nation.

On Roobaroo special telecast on Thursday Mini mentioned about Richa’s exit and the contestants were asked about their feelings for Richa. Prashant and Amit were asked to sing the song ‘Yeh Dosti’ first in Hindi and then in English as they have become best friends like Jay and Veeru of Sholay. SET Asia’s Music Talent hunt show Indian Idol 3’s Wild Card Entries Results

The results of Wild Card Entries of Indian Idol 3 telecast on SET Asia are out. The 12th contestant of Indian Idol 3 was selected by the viewers by giving their precious votes. Zayed Khan who was the guest on Friday night announced the name of the twelth contestant as “Amit Paul”. All welcomed Amit as he joined the other eleven contestants. On Saturday night the show started off by showing the judges deciding on whom to select between the three contestants left. Anu Mallik mentioned that suhit is a good performer but Ankita is a better singer. Udit supported Padmanav by saying that he is better than Ankita. Alisha’s choice was suhit. Javed Akthar said that both singing as well as performance is equally important. After some secret discussions the judges decided on one contestant.

The hosts of Indian Idol 3 Mini and Suhit called the three participants Suhit, Ankita and Padmanav on stage and asked the judges about their decision. Javed Akthar said that it was a very difficult task for them to choose one among the three and finally they chose Ankita Mishra as the lucky thirteenth. Towards the end of the show Hussain announced that the much awaited Gala round of Indian Idol 3 will begin from June 29th. Indian Idol 3 - Top 11 finalists selected from Piano Round telecast on SET Asia

Indian Idol 3 is the most popular music contest telecast on Sony Entertainment Television Asia every Friday and Saturday at 9:00 pm. The Auditions for Indian Idol 3 were held throughout the country from big cities to small towns to select the best talent by a team of capable judges, who had made their mark in the Indian Music Industry.

At the end of the show on June 9, 2007 eleven participants were selected. The show began with the entrance of a new girl. Everyone was wondering as Mini revealed her name ‘Jolly Das’, she was one of the finalist who couldn’t participate in the finals of Indian Idol 2 as as she was down with chicken pox. The judges welcomed her as she sang Barso re megha from the film Guru.

From the performance of the girls the judges were asked to name the contestant whom they thought will be out. Alisha thought Smita will be out but Annu, Udit and Javed thought Richa will have to go as her voice has not fully matured. Mini announced the result- she declared Deepali, Richa, Charu, Smita and Pujja to be safe unfortunately Ankita couldn’t make it. Ankita was asked to sing for one last time before going by Alisha. Javed came up to the stage and danced to Ankita’s tunes as she sang Main sirf tera mehboob tu meri mehbooba. Seeing Ankita’s high spirits Javed said “Aaj Yeh ladki jeet gayi, main haar gaya”.

Now about the boys results, as usual the judges were asked for their opinion on whom they thought should go. Alisha’s answer was Prashant, Annu thought Abhishek wasn’t that good. Suhit was the choice of javed and Udit. Hussain declared that Emon, Chang, Parleen, Prashant and Abhishek are safe. Suhit was voted out. Suhit was so depressed that he couldn’t sing when he was asked to sing a song.

At the end of the episode the hosts Mini and Hussain were saying that the next Indian Idol is on the stage, to that Javed replied it might be so but two wild card entries will be done. Indian Idol 3: The Talent Hunt Show’s Piano Round on SET Asia

The reality show Indian Idol 3 telecast on Sony Entertainment Television Asia gives the public an opportunity to chase their dreams and the power to make a talented contestant “Indian Idol” – Bharat Ki Shaan. Indian Idol 3 is a made-for –television –phenomenon that combines drama and reality with music, glamour, thrill and humour.

From the 14 boys Roshan and Bharat were eliminated. On June 5th Mini hosted the show, she asked the judges whom they thought should go from among the girls. According to Javed saab it was Priyanka, Shifa and Vartika, and for Udit it was Vartika, Vanita and Ankita. Vartika, Vanita and priyanka was the choice of Alisha. Annu judged the contestants by watching them on TV, Vanita, deepali, smita and charu were praised by Annu Maliik and he wasn’t impressed with the performance of Vartika, Priyanka etc. The gals were asked to vote out the one whom they thought dosen’t sang well. But the footage was a shocking one as the gals were back-bitting instead of voting out. Aisha and Priyanka got eliminated.

After the break when Hussain was about to invite Suhit to perform, Alisha came in instead of Suhit in his costume and sang “ Made in India” in Suhit’s style. When the boys performance got over javed saab thought that Suhit, Rehan and Shantanu must go, and Udit thought Rehan, Anish and Padmanav must go. According to Alisha, Amit, Padmanav and Abhishek were the people who didn’t perform well. Rehan, Anish and Padmanav were not good according to Annu Maliik. Shockingly Shantanu Sudame was among one of the boys who got eliminated with Anish Jain and Padmanav Bordoloi.

In the next round of Indian idol, the performance of Top 9 girls began with Mini as the host. She asked Abhishek Kumar about his strategy for the next performance, for that he answered “to remember the lyrics”. He forgot some lyrics in his yesterday’s performance and was completely down after that. Stay tuned to know who all have survived.

"Indian Idol 3": Suron Ki Baarish- Piano Round on SET Asia

Indian Idol 3, telecast on Sony Entertainment Television Asia is a show which is so entertaining that it is sure that people will forget everything else. This time in the Piano Round the contestants have to perform with a live band instead of only a piano. For the first time in Indian Television history the voting is going to be from many different countries ie UK, Middle East, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Bahrain.

On June 1st the performances of the girls were strong, but some of them could not live up to their potential. Only three Judges Javed Akhtar, Udit Narayan and Alisha Chinai were present on the show Indian Idol 3 as Annu was hospitalized with chest pain. Moved by the prayer made by the contestants for Annu’s wellbeing, Javed said that he wished that he takes ill for a day to receive such sweet wishes!

Mini asked the Judges whom they thought should be going home, for that Alisha’s answer was Rashmi Vijayan and Priyanka Mukherjee. Udit thought Rashmi and Richa should be in the Bottom Two. According to Javed Akhtar both Rashmi and pinky did not live up to the expectations.

The dreams of Rashmi Vijayan from Dubai and Pinky Maidasani from Mumbai who is an Annu fan, to become the next Indian Idol were shattered as they had bid good bye to the stage. The next day the boys gave some mind blowing performance.

Sony Entertainment Television has set out on a journey to search for that one voice which will truly live up to the proposition of Indian Idol: “Bharat Ki Shaan” in the third season of Indian Idol.

The Piano Round of Indian Idol 3 will be telecast live from June 1, 2007 to June 9, 2007 on Sony Entertainment Television Asia at 9:00pm. The viewers have to vote for their favourite contestant, the voting lines will open from 9.00 pm on June 1, 2007 and close at 8:00 am on June 2, 2007 and so on for each episode.

In the Piano Round of “Indian Idol 3” telecast on Sony Entertainment Television Asia top ten contestants will be selected from the 28 people chosen by the judges. For the Piano Round 14 girls and 14 boys will perform on alternate days and the contestant with the lowest vote have to leave the show.

There are some really talented and confident contestants from across India and even overseas participating in Indian Idol 3. The judges have done their part of the job and will continue to voice their opinions, but the ultimate decision on who the Indian Idol is will be based on the precious votes cast by the viewers.

Second level of Theatre Round of Indian Idol 3 on SET Asia

For Indian Idol 3, about 25,000 participants were auditioned from all over the world, and 123 of them were selected for the Theatre Round. From its first round 66 contestants were short listed instead of 60, because this year there is a rise in the number of talented people participating in Indian Idol 3.

The episode on May 25, 2007 showcased some marvelous singing, fresh talents, bonding and friendship between the contestants, which is the speciality of Indian Idol. The competition will get tougher in the next round of the Theatre Round as the contestants have to perform live with talented musicians for the first time. Syncronisation between the contestants divided into groups of two and three will be the key to success in this week’s episode.

There is a lot of anxiety, fear and suspence in the atmosphere as the contestants prepare for their duet round.

The episode had some interesting moments which include the conflict between Richa and Prashant. It seems that they both have a tough time ahead as Richa is not willing to practice with Prashant. Uma and Maya were late for Round 2 also. The pairs Suhit Gosain and Charu Semwal were brilliant back stage but when they were on stage charu forgot her lines, Suhit tried his best but in vain. In great disappointment Suhit blamed Charu, at that point Mini cooled them down and got them sign the peace treaty. Saswata Battacharjee was over excited and he faints on stage. The most popular Jodis of Indian Idol 3 include Meiyang Chang and Aisha Saye and Harshida and Padmanav.

Indian Idol 3: Theater Rounds on Sony Entertainment Television Asia

Indian Idol 3 has finally come to Mumbai. 123 contestants have been short listed by the judges. The next round in Indian Idol 3 is the theater rounds, it has two sessions. 60 people will be chosen out of 123 in the first session and 28 people will be selected from 60 in the second session. After the theater round the next stage is the public voting stage.

The reality show Indian Idol 3’s third episode started off with showing all the different auditioned cities. The contestants were arriving from different parts of the world to Mumbai. One of contestant Sreeju was seen upset, because his roommate Chirag was missing and he wasn’t able to get into his room. After an hour Chirag returned and asked for forgiveness, they both shook their hands and were friends once again.

The contestants were given a Cruise party. Some of the participants stayed behind to get themselves ready for the auditions. Next morning, Hussain knocked at the doors of the contestants who were late and asked all of them to run downstairs. All the contestants were excited and they rushed into the bus to go to the theatre hall. At the venue the judges’ javed Akhtar and Annu Maliik were having some discussions about the next round.

The theatre rounds are held at the National Centre for Performing Art. Out of the 123 contestants, 77 are females and 53 of them are males. Thirty people from each gender will be selected and from that 14 people will be picked from each gender. Alisha was late, the other judge’s clapped at her entry and she apologized for being late.

The theatre round began, and the first batch of girls leaded by Richa went on stage and sang. Richa Aneja, Rajasi Vaidya and Rani Hazarika got selected. From the next batch of boys leaded by Rehan Khan, he and Sreeju got selected. From the next batch of girls Uma was missing. The latecomers Uma and Maya had to perform alone, Annu Maliik was seen angry on them. They both were asked to go out without telling their judgement. They both were worried and Uma couldn’t stop crying. Suhit and Shantanu got selected from the next batch of 10 boys. After sometime Uma and Maya were called back for their result, they both got selected. From the next batch of boys Emon, Parleen and Meiyang got selected. Emon was very happy and gave his mother a big hug.

Top 60 contestants have been chosen. The judges decided the Male-Male, Female-Female and Male-Female pairs are selected by the judge’s. Now they will have to sing duets, which the judge’s ask them to.

Richa wasn’t happy with her partner Prashant. The show ended with all the contestants practicing with their partners.

Week One of Indian Idol 3

Sony Entertainment Television Asia has started its hit reality show Indian Idol 3 on May 4, 2007. At the end of the first week of Indian Idol 3, Richa Aneja, a cute little girl was the one who stood out outstandingly. She sang “Beedi Jalaile” and has got the yellow ticket for Mumbai. The other contestants worth mentioning are Ram and Shyam. Shyam didn’t get selected even though the verdict given to him was “sur mein gaya”. Ram got rejected after his performance.

The judges are new as you already know, comprise of Alisha who compensates for Farah’s absence, Javed Akhtar and Anu Malik. It seems that everyone gets a ticket from the hosts Mini Mathur and Hussain. Anu Malik criticize the contestants so much that even the parents of the contestants spoked out against him. The reality effect of the nationwide popular talent hunt show will be kept intact by not editing the outburst of anger of some people, pledging of rejected candidates and the strong criticism from the judges of Indian Idol 3.

She is in love and wants to marry Sushant the newspapers star chief editor. There is some sort of misunderstanding between Vasudha and Sushant, which results in Vasudha leaving her father and going off to London.

But her marriage is doomed from the wedding night itself when Sameer proclaims his undying love for another woman, Ruby. Finally their unhappy marriage ends in a divorce. Later Heena marries Sameer's friend Akram in search for happiness. But Ruby strikes again and enters Heena's life as Akram's second wife.

Heena finally manages to be free of Akram and gathers courage to rebuild her life and establish her own identity. Heena looks forward to her new life as a mother and dreams of a beautiful healthy child. But Heena's trials are not yet ove. At the hospital Heena gives birth to two kids. However one baby gets kidnapped, Heena is in a critical state. In order to save her further trauma, her father tells her that one baby is dead. Heena accepts this as her fate and decides to live for her one baby. However she discovers that her second baby is alive. The hunt for her missing baby begins. Heena suspects Akram and Ruby. Who is the kidnapper? Will Heena find her baby?

The evening starts with the enigmatic performance by Ashley Lobo and his dancers to a song written by Javed Akthar and music by Aayaan & Aamaan, sons of Ustad Amjad Ali Khan. Prabhudeva, the sensational dancer from south, takes the stage to give a solo performance in the evening. He is soon joined by Esha Deol and both dance to chal chaiya chaiya… Esha once again takes the stage by storm with her sizzling dhoom machya dedhoom…

While the team of Prabhudeva & Esha will represent the south, Sachin & Supriya and Ritiesh Deshmukh will represent Maharashtra and this segment will see some enigmatic dancing from the trio. The Bhojpuri industry was represented by Manoj Tiwari .To add that extra dash of colour Bipasha Basu will perform to the very hot beedi jalile. Risshton Ki Dor is basically a story about a family and the oldest brother’s struggle to keep the family together after the supposed death of the father and the death of the mother. The Abhayankar family is composed of the parents, Sharad and Sharda, Suhas( the brother) , Subhangi, Tejaswini( Teju, the main girl) and mansi (manu, the youngest girl), twins.

Tehjaswini Abhaynkar is our leading lady, a young nurse who is studying medicine, and who will see her dreams in chaos when she falls in love with Rahul Raichand , a successful engineer. In spite of belonging to completely different worlds, circumstances will bring them together, and once they meet, their lives will forever be entwined. An unexpected and profound love will keep them fighting for each other, in spite of secrets, passions, intrigue and catastrophes which will take this relationship to the limits of bewildering emotions. tejaswini will see herself having to pick between the love and gratitude she feels for her oldest brother and the passionate love she feels for Rahul Raichand.
